Ms. Naomi holds a Bachelor of Violin Performance from Southwestern University as well as a specialisation in Spanish. She started studying the violin at age five in a Suzuki program in Lubbock, Texas. Her passion for teaching led her to start a private studio alongside teaching at Ridgeview Middle School and over the summers, pilot a Fiddle Camp for young violinists! She loves collaborating with her peers and spent four years as the first violinist of the Southwestern University String Quartet and concertmaster of the Southwestern University Orchestra. She plays as a sub for Austin Symphony Orchestra and Central Texas Philharmonic orchestra. During the summer, she has participated in numerous chamber music festivals. She is always blown away by the curiosity and determination she finds in young musicians and hopes to cultivate an enjoyment for playing that motivates practice without excessive pressure!
